To contrast\, Brahms' C minor trio begins with fate-defying energy\, followed by a flighty\, mysterious mood that seems insecure. What follows\, however\, is a deeply satisfying lullaby\, full of warmth\, so typical of Brahms. Brahms ends the work with a quick\, restless motive that is ultimately transformed into a peaceful theme that works its way to a rousing conclusion!
