DESCRIPTION:The Prince Albert Raiders\, the Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert\, and The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group are proud to announce the 2016 Sportsperson/Sportsman of the Year\, and Female & Male Athletes of the Year. They are:\n\nSportsman of the Year: Mark Nagy. Prince Albert Triathlon MultiSport Club president (and founder)\, Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame "builder"\, Terry Fox Foundation contributor.\n\nFemale Athlete of the Year: Brooke Hobson\, Prince Albert Northern A&W Bears\, Hockey Canada Development Team.\n\nMale Athlete of the Year: Nick Basaraba. Prince Albert Astros & Canada's junior men's national softball team. Competed at the World Baseball Softball Confederation Junior Men's World Softball Championships.\n\nStanley Cup Champion and former Canadiens Captain Guy Carbonneau will be the featured guest speaker for the Ninth Annual Kinsmen Sportsman Dinner. Sportsnet's Ken Reid will also attend as the evening's Master of Ceremonies.\n\nThe legendary Guy Carbonneau is a three-time Stanley Cup winner\, former Canadiens Captain\, broadcaster\, and former NHL head coach. In 1989 90\, he was named the Captain of the Canadiens\, and led them to his second Stanley Cup win in 1992 93 against Wayne Gretzky and the Los Angeles Kings.\n\n This year's Kinsmen Sportsman Dinner will take place on Saturday\, November 5th in the Ches Leach Lounge at the Art Hauser Centre where the Kinsmen Male and Female Athletes of the Year and Sportsperson of the Year will be honoured.\n\nThe evening will include a live and silent auction as well as other games and opportunities for great prizes to be won.
