Canada 150 Mosaic Mural Workshops
The Canada 150 Mosaic Mural project is coming to Prince Albert! Communities across Canada are creating sections of a large mural that will connect the country through art. Each participating city or town will create a section of the mural made up of 400-750 individual tiles that symbolize their community.
Prince Albert is participating in the Canada 150 Mosaic Mural Project. Residents are invited to create tiles that will form the mosaic. Join us on Feb. 20th or 21st, 2017; sign up at www.citypa.ca
Be part of creating the Canada 150 Mosaic Mural for Prince Albert! Locals are invited to paint tiles with workshop instructors on the following days:
February 20th from 1:30 - 7:30 PM (supper break between 5:00 and 6:30) at the Mann Art Gallery
February 21st from 10.00 AM - 7:30 PM (supper break between 5:00 and 6:30) in the atrium area of the E.A. Rawlinson Centre.
Sign up for a one-hour timeslot at www.citypa.ca.
As each painting is part of a community mural, each community mural is part of the Canada 150 National Mosaic Mural. Each community mural virtually connects to other community murals resulting in a massive coast to coast uniflied mosaic.
Throughout the Country, this equates to a total of 80,000 tiles that will comprise an overall image of train cars connecting Canadians from far and wide!
