Prince Albert & District Community Futures is pleased to host a “Brown Bag Luncheon” facilitated by staff from CanSask Labour Market Services Branch on August 19th at our office located at 5B – 598 – 15th Street East, across from Superstore starting at NOON. As an initiative to create an awareness within the business community, CanSask has agreed to provide interested parties on the services they provide as well as Job Grant information for potential employers within the region:
CanSask Labour Market Services Branch, through the Ministry of the Economy, provides services to Saskatchewan people in need of information on career and job opportunities, as well as training and/or education options that enable participation in the provincial labour market.
Programs are available to help unemployed and under-employed individuals acquire the fundamental skills they need to participate in the Saskatchewan labour market.
Canada-Saskatchewan Job Grant is open to businesses and non-profit organizations in Saskatchewan. Training must result in a new hire, or a better job. The grant supports new investments in training and is not intended to replace an employer’s existing investment in training.
Through the Government and Employer Contributions, the employer will gain the benefit of a worker who is skilled and ready to work.
If you are interested in attending this information session, please e-mail gvass@pacf.ca. All we ask is that you bring your own lunch and we will provide water and coffee for those interested.
