Community Futures Employment Standards Workshop
As an ongoing service to the business community, Community Futures is hosting a half day over view workshop on Employment Standards. There have been significant changes to the Employment Standards in our province and as an employer, you should be aware of what these changes are and how they will affect you and your employees.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd from 8:30 AM to NOON at our office at 5B – 598 – 15th Street East (Across from SuperStore). Training materials will be provided by the Employment Standards Division of LRWS and we will need a head count to ensure that we have sufficient supplies on hand for all participants. Some of the topics in this session will include:
- Minimum Wage
- Minimum call-out Pay
- Hours of Work
- Work schedules
- Overtime
- Modified work arrangements
- Time Banks
- Employment Leaves
- Public Holiday Pay
If you are interested in attending this workshop presentation, please register as soon as possible by e-mailing the writer or calling Charlene at 763-8125 to confirm your attendance. This half-day session is open to everyone with an interest in Employment Standards including business owners and community based groups within our region
