MONDAY, June 5th Rainbow Flag raising and Proclamation Location: City Hall, Memorial Square. Time: 12:15-12:30 Speakers, 12:30 Rainbow flag raising. Food Services provided by "The Birdhouse" Color your Pride Art/Craft Night – Join us for poster making for the pride parade or tie-dye a t-shirt in the colors that represent you! (You will need to bring your own white t-shirt for the tie-dye) Cost is $2.00 per person. Limited to 30 people. TUESDAY, June 6th Trans 101: An Introduction to Gender Diversity – This presentation will introduce gender diverse terminology, challenges gender diverse people face in their daily life, gender diverse healthcare concerns, and how to be an ally. WEDNESDAY, June 7th Two-Spirit Sharing Circle Location: Room 232 at Saskatchewan Polytechnic @ 1500 – 10th Ave East (small building) Time: 5:30pm-6:45pm Drag 101: Rainbow Coffee goes Drag – Rainbow coffee is an inclusive and safe space for sexual and gender diverse youth and allies ages 14-18. Please join us for a Drag 101 Community event. A basic “how to” of drag for anyone and everyone. Ever wondered what drag is and what it is all about? Hosted by the Indigenous Peoples Artist Collective (IPAC) Location: Mann Art Gallery @ 142 - 12 Street West Time: 7pm FRIDAY, June 9th "Gender Revolution" - Free screening of National Geographic's documentary "Gender Revolution". This new film explores the complexities of gender in everyday life, as Katie Couric travels across the U.S. to talk with scientists, doctors, activists, authors and families. SATURDAY, June 10th Pride Parade and Community Festival – We are returning to our beginnings and heading downtown to Memorial Square, City Hall Pride Parade: Time: 1:30 start (line-up at 1:15pm) Route: Start at Memorial Square and go north down Central Ave to 9th Street East, turn right and go down to 1st Ave East, turn right and go down to 14th Street East, turn right and go to Central Ave, turn right and go down to 13th Street West, turn left and go down to 1st Ave West, turn right to go down to 13th Street West, turn right and go to Central Ave and turn right and go down to disperse at Memorial Square Community Festival: Time: 2:00pm-5:00pm Featuring: Food Services by Mad Cheddar Gourmet Grill Cheese Truck, Ltd. and by the Birdhouse.
