The Saskatchewan Employement Act - Part II - Employment Standards
Session Description: The workshop will be a combination of lecture and interactive participation with plenty of Q and A opportunities. The workshop will provide an overview of the Saskatchewan Employment Act, Part II ? Employment Standards. The presentation will cover the following topics: minimum wage, minimum call-out, scheduling work, Modified work agreements, overtime, Overtime banks, public holiday pay, vacation pay, leaves, notice periods, complaint process, etc. Presenters: Terry Gove has worked for the provincial government since 2009. He has twenty years of experience working in a variety of settings in the province?s post-secondary education system. He is presently the Manager of Education Programs with Employment Standards. Wayne Mesenchuk has been employed with Employment Standards formally known as Labour Standards since 1984. He is presently the Senior Employment Standards Officer in Prince Albert responsible for the Northern district which includes offices in North Battleford, Yorkton and Prince Albert. Wayne has been employed with the Province of Saskatchewan for 40 years. Wayne has a passion for Labour Relations and Human Resources.
