This workshop in Prince Albert will reflect on the history and culture of First Nations Treaties; with insights into how these historical agreements can be a resource to successfully promote new business ventures and accelerate collaboration opportunities in today’s business world. The workshop, Understanding Treaties– Doing Business with First Nations, will be held February 24, 2015 at the Prince Albert Inn beginning at 9 a.m.
This interactive workshop is open to anyone who wants to broaden their understanding of First Nations and how it can generate successful collaborative partnerships.
This one-day event will be facilitated by John Lagimodiere, owner of Aboriginal Consulting Services and publisher of Eagle Feather News. Mr. George Lafond, Treaty Commissioner with the province’s Office of the Treaty Commissioner, will be the event’s keynote speaker.
Proudly presented by the Northern Lights Casino and the Northern Lights Development Corporation, the workshop will help attendees understand the meaning of the treaties and how they can be used as an effective tool in today’s business economy. The workshop is presented in partnership with the Prince Albert & District Chamber of Commerce.
